Kuujjuaq
being the central hub of Nunavik holds two hotels and several restaurants.
The spacious 3 star Kuujjuaq
Inn has 22 rooms and can accommodate up to 44 guests. In it
you can find a lounge that serves alcoholic beverages which can
hold up to 150 patrons. Also, the hotel has a dining room for both
visiting and local guests that can seat up to 150 people.
A newly constructed 3 star Kuujjuaq
Co-op Hotel has 15 rooms and can accommodate up to 29 guests.
This modern hotel does have a dining room and kitchen, although
it does not employ a full time cook. However,
arrangements can be made with a local caterer to have meals prepared
for you, otherwise, the kitchen is open to guests who would like
to prepare their own meals. There is a spacious lounging area where
there is a big screen television set hooked up to cable. Also in
the hotel, a small souvenir shop where you can purchase soapstone
carvings or ivory jewelry created by local artisans.

are several restaurants in Kuujjuaq. From take out to formal dining.
The Kuujjuaq Inn's Restaurant meals range from Fast Food to Table
d'Hote in the evenings.
The QuickStop which is located in the Northern Store provides fast
food meals for families on the go. A typical menu popular to the
residents of Kuujjuaq is a cheese burger, poutine (a french invention
consisting of french fries with cheese
curds and gravy) and soda. You can order your meal in advance, pick
up for take out or eat in.
Recently, a new fast food restaurant for take out only became available
to the residents of Kuujjuaq. Gad's Grill as it's called, provides
delicious submarine sandwiches, grilled hamburger or cheeseburgers,
poutine and home made french fries. A weekly special of Chinese
Food is also offered. On occasion, Gad's Grill makes itself available
during the summer on the street till the wee hours of the morning.
Another service that deserves mention is the Newviq'vi's
hired cooks who offer fresh baked goods as well as healthy, already
prepared gourmet meals in single serving sizes.
